PODCASTS"Lessons in Leadership" is a series of four interviews with prominent CEOs in the credit union industry - each interview will focus on two distinct leadership qualities. The podcasts are based on the eight leadership attributes identified in the book Lasting Leadership: Lessons from the 25 Most Influential Business People of Our Times a collaboration of Nightly Business Report and Knowledge@Wharton. While no one leader encompasses all of the attributes, most business leaders have strengths in one or more of these attributes. Some of the 25 Most Influential Business Leaders identified in this study include: Mary Kay Ash, founder of Mary Kay, Inc.; Andrew Grove, chairman of Intel; Jack Welch former CEO of GE; and Herb Kelleher chairman of Southwest Airlines. The purpose of studying other business leaders is not so much to imitate their qualities as to discover which attributes resonate with one's own and, thus, can be cultivated to further enhance one's leadership skills and capabilities.
