Your Council Member Benefits Have Just Grown with New Blog Feature

The CUNA Councils are pleased to announce that a new commenting feature has been added to all new “In the News” articles. Like any blog, readers can post their commentary after an article and also discuss it with other commenters. However, unlike just any blog, only council members can post on the “In the News” articles, making this new feature another way for members to connect with each other.

Another new feature is buttons for users to save each “In the News” article to their favorite social bookmarking site, such as del.icio.us, Digg, and reddit among others.

And it will get even better. Coming soon:

  • Curious to see why John Smith is a remote teller evangelist in all of his comments? Now you can see it's because he's from a $15 billion asset credit union by viewing his membership profile - with a simple click on his name in the post.

How to post your comment on an article:

  1. Log into the Council site.
  2. Read the article.
  3. Write your insightful observation in the comments box. Don't forget to add a title.
  4. Click “Submit Post.” It's that easy.

To jump to comments from the homepage or individual news pages, you can click the Click to View Commentsimage.

So what do you think? Let us know by commenting!

Don't know what a "blog" or "social bookmarking" is?

Just click the word in the article above and it will take you to an insightful Wikipedia entry.

Cool Feature!
This is way cool!  If you ever read an article and then wondered what others thought about it as well as recording your thoughts you will love blogging.  It gives additional insight from your colleagues and can spur more ideas.  Try it!
